Lip Augmentation Course
Course Summary
This full day course is suitable for registers medics who have already completed their foundation course in dermal fillers and wish to add lip augmentation using needle and cannula technique along with the appropriate anaesthesia procedure to their skills.
We only teach a maximum of 2 delegates at any one time, this is to ensure that you gain confidence and competence to be able to leave the training and start treating your own patients immediately.
The training consists of 1 day practical session and a theory part carried out prior to the hands on training, led by CMA Academy Clinical Director – Susan Langridge.

What we cover
Course will cover theory and practical part in the following areas:
- The science and art of Lip augmentation
- Local anaesthesia and full nerve infiltration presentation including:
- Anatomy of the face detailing infra orbital and mental nerve
- Injection sites
- Types of local anaesthesia
- Possible complications
- Harmony and balancing within the face and correct lip sizing.
- Choosing the correct filler
- Using the most accurate Lip Filler injection technique
- Expectations & management
- Complications and their management.
What to expect
On the hands on training day, once we recap the theory, we will move on to an extensive hands on practice with live models.
Each delegate will have their own model to treat, the model will be yours only to treat.
You will carry out a full consultation, take full medical history, take photos and plan their treatment.
You will be also giving them advise about complications and aftercare.
Delegates are required to write up their own notes, this will ensure you will be ready to treat in your own clinic upon completion of the course.

After securing your training slot we will send you our comprehensive “Reading Course Material Notes” which will prepare you to the course beforehand.
All delegates leave with a Certificate of Attendance.
Requirements
We advise our delegates to bring suitable models for the course, so you can monitor/review them after the treatment. Nevertheless, if you are unable to source your training models, we will be happy to provide you with ones from our model database.
