Course Summary
Foundation PDO Thread Course is a comprehensive course designed ONLY for registered medics interested in adding an exciting, new procedure to their facial aesthetics menu.
We only teach a maximum of 2 delegates at any one time, this is to ensure that you gain competence and confidence in treating your own patients immediately after completing the course.
This is a full day course led by Susan Langridge – CMA Academy Founder and Lead Trainer.

What we cover
PDO Combination Thread course will cover use of PDO Cogs (lifting threads) and PDO Monos (rejuvenation and tightening) in the following areas:
- Nasolabial folds
- Jowls
- Jawline
- Cheeks
- Neck
- Chin
- Forehead
- Under eyes
Theory will cover the following:
- What are PDO threads?
- Why use PDO threads?
- Where are PDO threads used?
- Use of different types of threads and thread gauge/length
- Studying facial anatomy
- What are retaining ligaments of the face?
- Nerve supply to the face
- Blood supply to the face
- Venous drainage
- Materials required – types of PDO threads
- Consent and medical history
- treatment techniques / patient marking
- post treatment advice and aftercare
- avoiding complications and handling them
What to expect
During morning session we will recap the theory, we will then move on to an extensive hands on experience with live models. Each delegate will consult, prepare and treat their own model to treat, the model will be yours only, no sharing.
You will be also giving them advise about complications and aftercare.
What you'll receive
Once your training spot is secured we will send out a comprehensive “Reading Course Material Notes” which will prepare you to the course beforehand.
Upon completion all delegates will receive 11 CPD Hours and with a Certificate of Attendance.





Requirements
We advise our delegates to bring suitable models for the course, so you can monitor/review them after the treatment. If you are unable to bring your model please do let us know and CMA Academy will provide all the suitable models.
